Travel Questions

Travel FAQs.

Do I need a visa for South Africa?

Entry requirements depend on your nationality, passport and itinerary. Check current visa, passport and transit requirements with South African immigration authorities or the relevant consulate, and with your airline. This planning page is not a substitute for official entry advice.

Is Limpopo a malaria area?

Discuss your exact destination in Tshipise, travel dates and any onward visits with a qualified travel-health clinician. Ask for current advice on malaria precautions and other health preparations rather than relying on a general regional description. Pack prescribed medication and discuss personal needs before travel.

Can I bring my own rifle?

Comar offers assistance with SAPS rifle permits. Before choosing a route, confirm the current firearm and ammunition requirements with SAPS, your airline and the authorities for any transit country. Ask Comar what assistance is available for your itinerary; do not assume that assistance guarantees permission to travel.

What if I prefer not to travel with firearms?

Rifle hire is available by arrangement and quoted separately. Tell Comar which species you wish to discuss and ask about a suitable option, availability for your dates, ammunition arrangements and the full cost. No particular rifle or calibre is promised by this website.
